1. Reservations, Cancellations and Group bookings
Bookings:
Reservations can be made online, by a third party, by phone, or in person. A valid credit card is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
Guest must be over the age of 18 and have a valid Australian or State issued identification or Government issued passport which is presented upon check in.
All bookings are inclusive of two guests, bookings made with additional guests will incur an additional charge per person.
Cancellations:
Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time 2:00 PM (NSW time) will not incur any charges. Cancellations within 48 hours of check-in will incur a charge equivalent to the two night’s stay where applicable or first nights when only a one night is booked.
Guest staying over the Christmas school holidays between the 1st December-31st January are required to provide 30 days notice should they wish to cancel their booking. Cancellations within 30 days of check will incur a cancellation fee of the entirety of the booking total.
No-shows:
Failure to check in without prior cancellation will result in a charge for the full reservation period.
Group bookings and short-term stays:
For bookings of more than five rooms or more than fourteen days a 20% non-refundable deposit is required within seven days of booking and remaining monies is due 30 days prior to arrival. If within 30 days full payment is to be made at time of booking.
Group bookings must be cancelled prior to the 30 days prior to arrival, if cancelled outside of 30 days, the booking can be refunded minus the 20% non-refundable deposit. If within 30 days, the full booking will be forfeited.
2. Check-in and Check-out
Check-in:
Check-in is available from 2:00 PM (NSW time). Guests must provide a valid photo ID (driver’s licence, passport) and the credit card used for booking upon arrival.
Early check in can be arranged prior which may incur a fee.
Check-out:
Check-out is by 10:00 AM (NSW time).
Late check-outs may be arranged prior which may incur a fee.
3. Rates and Payment
Room Rates:
Room rates are inclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax) and are subject to availability. Rates may vary based on the season and special events. Your room rate
Payment:
Full payment is required at 48hrs prior to the day of check in unless prepaid. We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), debit cards and bank transfers for established companies or group bookings.
Bookings made during Christmas school holidays from the 1st December to the 31st January are required to make full payment 30 days prior to arrival.
If payment is not made by required date your booking maybe cancelled.
A non-refundable card surcharge will apply to payments made by Visa, Mastercard and American Express. The surcharge applied to these cards may vary and is displayed at the time of booking.
Pre-Authorisation:
A pre-authorisation on a credit card may be required at check-in to cover incidental costs or damages.
4. Guest Policy
Occupancy:
Each room has a specified maximum occupancy limit. Exceeding this limit without prior arrangement may result in additional charges or termination of the stay.
Children and Extra Beds:
Children are welcome, but extra beds or cots must be arranged in advance and may incur additional fees.
Non-smoking:
All rooms are non-smoking. A cleaning fee of AUD $350 will be applied if smoking occurs in a room.
Pets:
Pets are not allowed. A cleaning fee of AUD $350 will be applied if this policy is not adhered to.
5. Damage and Liability
Guest Liability:
Guests are responsible for any damage or loss caused to the property during their stay. The cost of repairs or replacements will be charged to the guest’s credit card on file.
Personal Property:
Tweed Harbour Motor Inn is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items. Guests are advised to secure their belongings.
If an item is left behind an extra fee will be charged for postage.
Public Liability:
The motel is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by guests on the premises unless caused by the motel’s negligence.
6. House Rules
Quiet Hours: To ensure the comfort of all guests, quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM (NSW time).
Visitors:
Registered guests are responsible for the behaviour of any visitors. Visitors are only permitted on the property between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
Each room may have a maximum of 2 visitors unless approved by management prior.
Prohibited Activities:
Illegal activities, excessive noise, or any behaviour that disturbs other guests will result in immediate eviction without refund.
7. Security & Privacy
Security:
For the safety of guests, the property may be monitored by CCTV in common areas.
Privacy:
Personal information collected during the booking process is used for managing reservations and marketing and will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or with the guest’s consent, in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
8. Internet & Parking
Wi-Fi:
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for all guests. The motel is not responsible for any internet disruptions or technical issues.
Parking:
Complimentary on-site parking is available for guests. The motel accepts no liability for any damage, theft, or loss of vehicles parked on the property.
Off street parking is available for larger vehicles, time restrictions may apply. Tweed Harbour Motor Inn is not liable for any infringements
9. Housekeeping and Room Services
Daily Housekeeping:
Housekeeping services are provided daily unless otherwise requested. Towels and linens are changed every fourth day unless required sooner.
Long Stays:
For stays longer than 7 days, a full clean of the room will be conducted every 7 days unless otherwise arranged.
10. Force Majeure
The motel will not be held responsible for any disruptions caused by factors beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government regulations, or pandemics.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State in which the motel is located and comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Any disputes will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
By making a reservation and staying at our motel, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
